Walk In mountains… - Lodz, PM 163, Poland

Between 16th and 19th June next group of teachers from Kindergarten in Lodz took part in partners meeting of project “One song – one voice”. This time we were hosted by Christa and Heike in picturesque village Eibiswald in Austria.

Whole area as well as children are close to nature and prefer naturalness. Children play in the garden every day trying their strength in climbing, running and technical works such as hammering the nails into wood.

There is 35 children age from 3 to 6 listed In this institution. Educational system in Austria is close to this existing in Poland and similarly kids are going to school at the age of 6.
Activities which we had possibility to watch were: yoga (thanks to which children can train their concentration) and music which have positive effect on general development.
Children were surprisingly open and eager to contact with foreigner guests despite the obvious fact of language barrier. They were willingly leading tours around their kindergarten and presenting favourite games.
It was truly positive meeting with lots of sun.

Discovering Birmingham – part 2 (30.04 – 1.05.2012) - Lodz, PM 163, Poland

Our second trip to this beautiful city revealed many attractions and provided all of us the possibility of making new friendships and strengthening those already existed.
The Sunday morning welcomed us with rain and a discussion about achievements of the preceding part of the project.
We watched videos with fairy tales prepared by children from schools taking part in the project.
That event was followed by a truly marvelous trip to the Cadbury Chocolate Factory. Even though we all put on weight after that we would definitely like to come back here one day.
The next day we were discovering the Cottridge School guided by greatly prepared children who were ready to answer every question. We also took part in the concert of the school’s choir and the drum group.

Last common dinner was full of jokes, laughter and promises of the next meeting.
